Vydar: Autonomous Navigation for a GPS-Denied World. Vydar is a Delft-based deep-tech company founded in 2024 and located at the YES!Delft campus on the TU Delft grounds. We build hardware and software solutions that enable drones, unmanned vehicles, and autonomous systems to navigate reliably, especially when GPS/GNSS is unavailable, jammed, or spoofed.

Our Technology
Our core product is the Forge navigation module: a 45×45 mm, 30-gram board that replaces satellite navigation with onboard intelligence. It uses edge AI, visual odometry, and NPU-based processing to match real-time camera footage against offline satellite maps, fused with IMU data for accurate localization in any environment. The result: GPS-independent navigation in contested environments. Our module consumes just 3 watts, an 88% efficiency improvement over Nvidia Jetson-based alternatives, and it is built for large-scale production.
All components are 100% designed, sourced, and manufactured in Europe. No external dependencies. No geopolitical exposure.

Our Team
Our multidisciplinary team brings expertise from aerospace engineering at Rocket Lab, collaborations with the European Space Agency, computer vision for autonomous systems, FPGA design, and hardware encryption for the defense industry. We are backed by multiple investors and supported by YES!Delft.

What’s cooler than working with drones? That’s right, working with multiple drones at the same time. This is exactly what we do at Tective. Our flagship product is the SkyHive, an automated drone-deployment system capable of deploying 5 drones and keeping them in the air 24/7 with 95% up-time without anyone ever touching a drone. Besides the SkyHive we also make the ReFly, the drone we develop and build in-house. The swarm management is handled by our SkyCommand software, which enables an operator to plan missions and view all information collected by the ReFlys in a clear and concise way. Our products are used to provide data and insights for surveillance purposes in the Defense and security sector, and for crop health monitoring in the agricultural sector. At Tective we face many cutting-edge, difficult engineering challenges. This stems from the fact that we engineer and produce our products in-house. In order to ensure seamless integration between the systems, we design most electronics, hardware, and software in-house.  Whether your interest is software, electronics, hardware, or a combination of the three, Tective will pique your engineering heart. We are currently in the transition from start-up to scale-up and are growing rapidly. We are looking for people with a strong background in machine vision, software, and control engineering.

AerogridUAV is a TU Delft spin-off developing autonomous hybrid UAV systems for defence and maritime operations. We build drone and landing technologies for missions where conventional UAVs fall short: harsh weather, moving platforms, and operations that demand both VTOL flexibility and fixed-wing endurance. By combining advanced airframe design, flight control, and autonomous landing capability in one integrated solution, we enable reliable performance in operational scenarios where existing systems are often limited by wind, space, or infrastructure.

Our technology enables:
  • VTOL operations in harsh weather, up to wind force 7.
  • Around 4 hours of endurance with hybrid flight capability.
  • Autonomous landing on moving vessels and ground vehicles without dedicated infrastructure.
  • Naval ISR, mobile ground support, offshore inspection, and critical delivery missions.

All core technologies are developed in-house, including our patented Variable Skew Quad-Plane platform and autonomous landing solutions. This enables fast iteration, strong system integration, and continued innovation from concept through flight testing. Backed by TU Delft and international defence-related projects, AerogridUAV delivers resilient UAV capability for operators who need reach, flexibility, and reliability in the most demanding environments.
